Choosing the Right Conservatory Roof for Your Hertfordshire Home

By Nu-Look Local

Double Hipped Victorian conservatory with a slate-effect tiled roof fitted by Nu-Look

Once you've decided on a tiled roof, there are still a few choices to make. Here's what to think about so it suits your home.

Your conservatory style

Edwardian, Victorian, lean-to, gable-end, P-shape and T-shape conservatories can all take a Nu-Look roof. Because every frame is built from timber on site, it's made to fit your exact shape.

Tile colour

Most people match the main house roof. Tapco tiles come in Pewter Grey, Stone Black, Red Rock, Plum, Brick Red and Chestnut Brown. Colours on screen vary, so we bring real samples to your survey to compare in daylight.

Light and roof windows

The typical loss of light is only around 5% from polycarbonate or 11% from glass. If you want more, Velux roof windows can be added.

Inside the room

You get a plastered ceiling ready to decorate, and lighting can be added as part of the job.

Who fits it

Check the U-value of the finished roof (Nu-Look's is 0.14 W/m²K), who backs the guarantee (ours is a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee), and whether the quote is fixed.

We cover Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties. Book a survey and we'll help you choose.
